What is Coronavirus? Coronavirus is viruses that cause disease in humans and animals. In human, it causes respiratory infections like common cold and some serious illness, such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) dan Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
In December 2019, a new type of Coronavirus was discovered in Wuhan, China. The virus that causes Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) is called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV2).
Most people panic due to the spread of Coronavirus Disease. They immediately bought masks in large quantities, and wore them everywhere they went. But actually it is not necessary to wear mask.
Wearing masks is only for people who have symptoms of respiratory infections, like coughing or sneezing, or suspecting COVID-19 infection with mild symptoms such as fever and cough, and those who treat them. To prevent transmission of the virus, it can be done by washing hands regularly, closing mouth when coughing or sneezing, and keep the distance from people who cough or sneez.
People shouldn’t be worry because a vaccine is being developed in China, and according to the Ministry of Health, around 58,600 people (72.4%) recovered from 80,859 confirmed cases in China. (ami)
