Energy become the problem almost in a whole world include in Indonesia. The stock of fuel oil as an energy source for vehicle which is getting thinner, demand us to think to looking for the best solution in order to the needs to that thing will fulfilled. Car is one of transportations which is widely used by the world community include Indonesian as daily activity support.
Various efforts have been done by several country to trackle that crisis, there are with doing a particular research to saving on fuel usage with create the tools that can increase the efficiency of the fuel usage. Now, all companies which are moving in automotive sector compete to produce the products which are saving the fuel usage through technology development.
This saving efforts can be doing together by all parties which have an interest in it to answer the challenge in energy sector. The community must have an aware that in the future is needed of the joint solution to this problem. College student as an agent of chance should be participate active in effort to prevention the energy crisis which is struck the worlds include Indonesia through the real action that is manifested in a creativity to answer the energy challenge in the future where all of means transportation that used should save of fuel, safe to drive, and especially environmentally friendly. This real act held by ‘Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi’ or usually called as KMHE which is a National competitions and participated by college student from all over University/ Institution/ Polytechnic in Indonesia. Yogyakarta State University through Garuda UNY Team has been participating in this competition since year (?) and have been getting some achievements.

Philosophy of the Competition
The supply of fuel as an energy source is running low while the need is increasing energy causes energy to become a problem in almost all countries in the world, including Indonesia. It requires us to think about finding the best solution to overcome the energy crisis. Various countries have already made efforts to overcome the crisis among others to conduct research that aims to improve efficient use of fuel. Almost all companies engaged in the automotive sector competing to produce products that are able to save fuel consumption through technology development. Collegers as agents of change should also be able to participate actively in efforts to overcome the energy crisis that has hit the world, including Indonesia.
